RC Workbench

Professional inspection and service documentation for serious RC owners.

Free UDR Post-Run Protocol

A printable bench-side checklist to help you catch wear early, reduce oversight, and make post-run checks repeatable on your Traxxas UDR.

Most owners finish a run, clean the truck, and assume that is enough. It isn’t.This free protocol is built to help UDR owners run a consistent post-run inspection, catch developing issues before they get expensive, and reduce guesswork between sessions. It is the bench-ready version of the inspection logic shown on the RC Workbench channel.

Want to see the R&D side?

Patreon is the R&D bay: the mechanical thinking, bench notes, and development work behind the finished system. That is where I share test iterations, in-progress observations, and the reasoning that does not always fit inside a YouTube video. This button will take you there.

Workshop Manual (In Development, currently available on Patreon)

A structured, model-specific service checklist is in development, built as the companion document to RC Workbench teardown and rebuild videos. It will cover:

  • • Service and inspection checkpoints

  • • Wear considerations and part references

  • • Baseline setup and tuning notes

  • • A repeatable workflow to reduce oversight during reassembly

Release notices go to email subscribers. These are model-specific documents, not generic guides

RC Workbench documents mechanical processes as they are applied in practice.Resources are released only once they reflect a complete, repeatable, and defensible workflow.

Buying a used UDR instead?

I also put together a free Pre-Purchase Inspection Checklist for anyone evaluating a truck before buying.
If you choose this, you will also receive the free Post-Run Protocol.

Use it to spot red flags, assess condition more objectively, and avoid paying for hidden problems. Before any service or upgrade work makes sense, the condition of the vehicle needs to be assessed properly. This free checklist documents the inspection process used to evaluate used RC cars before purchase, adapted from protocols used in high-end automotive applications.
